I love my kids, and want to spend lots of time with them. I would
love to hear from them, when they are grown up, that they remember
all of the fun things that we did together. I hope that by the time
they are in their difficult teen-age years, we will be good enough
friends that they will want to confide in me.
The challenge? We all have full schedules, and often have
difficulty finding time to relax, and pursue hobbies that we really
enjoy (aside from raising great kids, that is!). So how to we
fit quality time with our families, into sometimes busy schedules,
and mix in a bit of personal achievement, and satisfaction at the
same time?
I figured out the answer!!!
My wife and I, when presented with two seemingly conflicting
values, appointments, desires, etc, have always tried to find a way
to do both. If we are creative enough, we can almost always
find a way around the "one or the other" idea. Now,
don't get me wrong, I would not suggest that we need to go through
life getting everything we want. I am simply saying that we can
creatively find ways to do two seemingly conflicting activities.
So I have worked hard to find things that I REALLY enjoy, that the
kids love, and that can get my mind off of work, and the goings on of
life.
I will be posting plans, ideas, how-to's etc. of all the projects
that I am working on with my kids. I hope you will enjoy them. Feel
free to use these ideas, print them, email them, anything but for
commercial gain (use of ideas by private schools is ok). I will keep
posting new projects, and the status of existing projects all the
time.
Feel free to post comments about your sucess with projects! If you have other ideas let me know in the contact us area, we will try them and post them on the site with a special thanks to you on the post!
